Water–Energy–Food Nexus

Integrated, multi-objective decision-making across interconnected water, energy, and food systems under uncertainty.

Water, energy, and food systems are deeply interdependent: choices in one ripple through the others. Managing them in isolation produces fragile, inefficient outcomes. This theme builds integrated nexus models and multi-objective decision frameworks that capture these couplings.

Recent work develops robust decision-making paradigms for the water–energy–food security nexus under changing-climate uncertainties, helping planners find solutions that perform well across competing goals and scenarios.
